I have been treated by many excellent medical Consultants in Spinal Cord Injury, in Britain and America, since breaking my back in 1975. They have all told me, there’s no cure for spinal cord injury….you’ll never walk again.
Of course, these doctors are working within the framework of modern medical science on this earthly plain, and their "treatment” of spinal cord injury is based on what they believe possible....given they consider a "cure" impossible. I respect their views and am extremely grateful to all my doctors who help me maintain my health and independence.
Yet, the truth is that current medical treatment of spinal cord injury, amounts to little more than teaching paraplegics and quadriplegics how to "cope," and manage our disabilities, as best we can. While I've learned to become a very independent paraplegic and wheelchair-user in the last 34 years, I've never met a doctor who can help me repair my damaged spinal cord, escape my wheelchair, and walk again.
All that changed when I met Dr. Augusto de Alameida – a spirit doctor channeled by João Teixeira de Faria (affectionately known as John of God), at the Casa de Dom Inácio in Brazil.
What I'm about to describe may sound crazy...even out of this world, but I assure you I have not lost my marbles. I have met many people who have been healed by spirit doctors of seemingly incurable illnesses at the Casa in Brazil. No, I'm not nuts...I am very sound of mind...if not my complete body just yet. May the following inspire you as it has me.
John of God/Spirit Doctors – How it Works
- Spirit doctors are benevolent entities who treat the living on earth from their "surgery" in the afterlife.
- Spiritual "surgery" is an intervention to energetically change physical conditions (illnesses) and cause miraculous changes on a mental, emotional and spiritual level.
- John of God channels 33 different entities who take over his mind and body to perform spiritual surgeries and healing.
- Unlike medical surgery, spiritual surgery does not require medical doctors, nurses, operating theatre, anesthetic, people in scrubs, fear of MRSA, blood transfusions, etc.
One by one, the people who visit John of God pass before him and are scanned by the spirit entities that perform the necessary healing. For some, the effect is immediate, for others healing unfolds over time. For some (like me) additional visits are required.
I’ve been to the Casa seven times in four years and had more than a dozen spiritual surgeries. Each visit is a completely new and different experience, moving me along my healing journey. I’ve come to appreciate that healing is just that…a journey that requires faith, humility, commitment, patience and love. The love and divine energy that flows through John of God touches everyone who visits him in Brazil, and makes the Casa a sacred space that is uplifting and transformational.
Scientific study and documentation of the results of John of God’s work place the cure rate at a remarkable 85%. (Source: www.healingquests.com.)
While I have been seen by many different entities at the Casa, my main spirit doctor (my Consultant if you wish) is Dr. Augusto de Alameida.
Dr Augusto de Almeida
Dr Augusto de Almeida is one of the most frequent Entities at the Casa de Dom Inácio. He is reported to have been in the military, a rubber tapper and a doctor in previous incarnations. When Dr Augusto incorporates he is recognized for his strong personality and his somewhat authoritarian manner. He is known to be extremely kind and is deeply loved by all.
Dr Augusto’s power to heal is best explained in his own words:
"My phalange comprises not of ten, nor a hundred but thousands of helping spirits. I am the one who reaches to the very depths of the abyss to save a soul."
In September, 2008 (my seventh trip to the Casa), Dr Augusto told me…
- It will not be long now until you walk again
- You’re doing everything right in your healing
- Keep exercising on your Giger Medical Device - this is very good for you
- Loose weight around your tummy to make it easier for us to work on you
Naturally, I am following Dr Augusto's advice.
Here's the latest...
On my next visit in April 2009, I asked Dr Augusto for an update on my prognosis. He replied, somewhat impatiently, that "It will happen...it'll just take some time, not long,..."
I came away feeling I was told to be patient and to stop worrying; be less intent. A watched pot never boils I guess. Following my last trip, I've been very, very tired which has certainly impacted and upset my regular exercise schedule. Could this be my body healing? A sign of things getting worse before they get better? Truthfully, I've no idea, but I do continue to think of all the "miracle" healings I've seen at the Casa. I remain very open to spiritual healing and keep the faith.
Son of the Casa
The Entity also made me a Son of the Casa de Dom Inácio in September 2008, in recognition of my spiritual connection to the Casa and committment to its mission.
My appointment represents a formal bond of love and confirmation that I'm now part of the Casa's family - the Casa is my spiritual home. It is also recognition that I am a Medium of the Casa de Dom Inácio. Something which came as a huge surprise to me.
With this great honour comes a responsibility to help, support and guide other visitors to the Casa seeking healing. I must also do my part in the current rooms to hold the healing energy that the spirit doctors and benevolent Entities use to heal those who ask for help. I am privileged to know that my personal healing mission to walk again, is also helping others to heal.
The power of the Entities (spirit doctors) at the Casa is difficult for us human’s to fully comprehend. It seems the more I go to the Casa; the more I sit in the amazing healing energy; the more miracles I witness there, the less I know or understand what is really going on. I''ve come to appreciate, it is what is in my heart that is important, not my head (my ego). I think this is best summed up by the expression....If you don't go within, you go without.
My own self-healing journey is a work-in-progress; a voyage of self-discovery and letting go of anger, frustration, and dissapointment in my lfe. I've come to appreciate the importance of forgiveness and unconditional love - forgiving myself and others and giving freely of myself to help others heal, all without expectation of anything in return. I cannot stress these two qualities enough, and the enormous gains I have made by replacing traits of human ego with faith, commitment, humility, and love - for myself and others.
Thousands of people from all over the world visit the Casa every week. Many are healed. All experience a power much greater than I....I choose to call this power God.
I have learned to set aside my ego and preconceived ideas of healing, impressed upon me by medical doctors who say, there’s no cure for spinal cord injury. They're right, of course, there is no "medical" cure for spinal cord injury in this physical world, but in the spirit world, miracles happen every day.
Discovering the Casa, spirit doctors and how these benevolent Entities can truly help us heal our souls and spiritual bodies, has caused me to question my own reality of life on earth:
- Can a bunch of dead doctors really cure the "living?"
- Who are these spirits and what happens after we die?
- Why is it important to go within and recognise we are spirits in human (physical) form?
I do not claim to have all the "answers." Nor, to be honest, do I seek answers. It's my ego that wants answers. I am beyond that stage in my awareness. Although, I must confess, I still possess my human impatience and want to be healed here and now, and walking again, today.
Being appointed a Son of the Casa is a great boost to my healing, taking me one step closer to manifesting my miracle and walking again. With God's grace and help from Dr Augusto and the Entities,...to quote Dr Augusto, "It'll not be long now before I walk again," and I'm climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge on my strong legs. Something I visualise every day. Want to see what that looks like? Check out my vision boards.
Just how long is long in the spirit world? I hear you ask. Good question. Watch this space for the answer.
For more information, feel free to contact me. I’ll be happy to answer your questions.
Other Entities at the Casa de Dom Inácio include:
There are 33 Entities who work through Medium João. Some of the Entities have chosen not to reveal their identity but are frequent visitors nonetheless. During incorporation the Entity carries with him his own personality from the past life and is recognized in João’s mannerisms and behaviour. Sometimes João in-Entity will discard his glasses and scientists have recorded that the colours of his eyes change to match the colour that the particular Entity had when alive. Patients receiving healing energy from the Entities will often be moved to tears.
Dom Inácio de Loyola 1491-1556 - St. Ignatius of Loyola is the principle Entity after whom the Casa is named. When João incorporates the entity of Dom Inácio many miracles happen. He works calmly for many hours, a testimony of his unlimited compassion, kindness and patience.
For those who believe,
No proof is necessary.
For those who disbelieve,
No amount of proof is sufficient.
St. Ignatius of Loyola
Dr. José Valdivino - There is a photograph in the surgery room of the Casa where one can see the Entity so fully incorporated that João’s physical body is almost completely replaced by Dr. José Valdivino. Very little is known about this Entity who when asked replied simply that he was a protector of families. During his healings he is extremely gentle, compassionate and loving. He possesses energy that is especially powerful for curing paraplegics. With a touch of his hand and a command for them to walk, or move the afflicted limb, many miraculous healings have been recorded.
Dr Oswaldo Cruz 1872 – 1917 - Medical doctor, founder of Medicina Experimental Brasileira, is credited for eradicating the yellow fever epidemic in Brazil. He is a direct and forthright in his interactions while at the same time extremely kind, and compassionate. He has the most beautiful eyes, which seemingly pour out unconditional love to all in his view – a very powerful and moving experience. He will often request that wristwatches be removed as it disturbs his current.

John of God: Healing Through Love by Karen Leffler and Heather Cumming
The miraculous healer of Brazil lives as a farmer but turns his body over to 'spirit doctors' three days a week so they can treat the thousands of people who come to him when doctors can no longer offer hope. Earning his living as a rancher, he takes no money for his healing work, saying, "Joao Teixeira heals no one. God heals." In John of God: Healing Through Love, two of his helpers, a translator and a photographer who have travelled with him and visited his childhood home, share his life and work with love and understanding. The book includes vivid photographs of the people, the procedures, and the spiritual lights that appear throughout the house as he works.
