Hi, I'm Martin. I broke my back in 1975, aged 18. Back then doctors believed (and most still do) that the spinal cord is hard wired…once broken, it cannot be repaired and permanent paralysis results. 35-years later, scientists now know that is only partially true.

There is now considerable medical evidence to suggest that it is entirely possible I can retrain (or as I call it), “reboot” my central nervous system, create new nerve pathways, and regain control of my paralysed body.
