In this busy world we all share, you might think sitting still and taking a few minutes for yourself sounds great... blissful, in fact... easy, even.

Believe it or not, meditating... actually stepping out of the fast lane of life, has proved to be the hardest part of my therapy for me.

Don't panic, you may well find it much easier.

I'm an action man at heart... or maybe that should be I was until I discovered the ENORMOUS benefits of regular, simple meditation.

For years I was too busy, being busy... pursuing a TV career - presenting live TV, filming around the world - partying, traveling, and so on. I was caught up in the high-powered, stressful, pace of life I had created for myself.

Since "retiring" to focus on my health and manifest my miracle, I have come to appreciate the tremendous benefits of meditating regularly.

It's really easy. All I do is relax and still my mind, clearing it of the zillion and one thoughts that constantly rush through my brain.

Meditation is my way of consciously connecting with God's spiritual healing energy and allowing my healing to occur.

I used to schedule an hour a day to meditate, but often let it slip in favour of physical exercise therapy (that's the athlete in me trying to take over). As a result, I missed out on the healing. That was a big mistake, so I've adjusted my daily schedule to allow for two, 30 minute, meditations throughout the day.

I choose to view meditation as simple and personal. Don't let people confuse you with the various versions and "expert" techniques.

Find a good piece of meditation music that you like. Put it on, relax and go within yourself. Yes, it does take a little practice to get the hang of it, but if you commit to doing it regularly and persevere, you'll be fine.

I read somewhere that "If you don't go within, you go without." At first, I didn't get it, but now I meditate daily, I wholeheartedly agree.

If you do nothing else to help reduce stress and heal, please do yourself a favour and find time to mediate. It's so good for you. I only wish I appreciated that much sooner in life.

What's more, It's free and you can do it anywhere... well, perhaps not while driving.

Actually you'll often find me zoning out for a quick meditation-minute in the check-out queue at my local Morrisons.

Try it, you'll be glad you did.

Enjoy.

As always, please feel free to email me if you've a question. I'm happy to help.
