I rather like what Mahatma Gandhi said...

"It is health that is real wealth, not pieces of gold and silver."

Yet the reality is that being disabled is an expensive business. People are shocked when I tell them that my lightweight wheelchair costs £2,500....and that's just for the chair. The cushion I sit on to avoid pressure sores is extra...anywhere from £300 upwards. What's worse is that most people believe the National Health Service (NHS) GIVE me my wheelchair. If only that was true. The fact is I have to pay for it myself...as do most disabled people.

So I understand being disabled isn't cheap and we all need money. When was the last time you said to yourself, "It's going to take a miracle to pay for XXXX?
