The first step to healing is adopting the right attitude.
Here's mine...
- Give thanks to the excellent spinal injury
medical staff who've got me this far
- Not to buy into negative, "you'll never
walk again" attitudes learned in hospital
- To open my mind, body and spirit to new healing
possibilities
- Decide what I want ....ie. to walk again and climb
the Sydney Harbour Bridge
- Make a commitment - clearly stating my intention
to walk again (not "try")
- Seek out people with tools and talent to help
me
- Exercise my mind, body and spirit daily
- Avoid negative people and my own self-limiting "thoughts"
- Remain focused
- Never give up
- Respect other people's views - especially
those who say "It's impossible"
- Trust in God, keep faith and remember to go
within ....meditate often
- Always do what I say I'm going to do
- Action This Day!
- Share my discoveries with other spinally injured
folks and their families.
- Remember to enjoy what I do and have fun -
love and laugh always
- Above all else......expect success
